National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards
The National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards program, led by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), was established in 2015 through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to recognize high-performing Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System permittees (MS4s).
This awards program recognizes MS4 Phase I and Phase II permittees that seek new and innovative ways to meet and exceed regulatory requirements in a technically effective and financially efficient manner. Submissions undergo a thorough review process where each application is reviewed by an expert committee and evaluated in two categories: program management and innovation.
The three highest-performing Phase I and Phase II programs will be awarded the 2024 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Award in one of three categories: Program Management, Innovation, and Overall, and will be recognized during the Presidential Awards Ceremony at the 97th Annual Water Environment Federation Technical Conference (WEFTEC 2024) in New Orleans, Louisana, October 5, 2024 - October 9, 2024. Winners can also present highlights of their MS4 program at the WEFTEC Innovation Pavilion.
Applications for the 2024 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Award are NOW OPEN. Applications must be completed by June 7, 2024.
