2023 MS4 AWARDS
National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Programs
The National MS4 Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards program, led by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), was established in 2015 through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to recognize high-performing regulated Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Programs (MS4s). This year marks the 9th anniversary of the 2023 MS4 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards program.
This program aims to inspire MS4 Phase I and Phase II program communities to seek new and innovative ways to meet and exceed regulatory requirements in a technically effective and financially efficient manner. Submissions undergo a selection process wherein their submission is reviewed by an expert committee and evaluated in two categories: program management and innovation.
Based on the committee scoring, applicants are designated as Bronze, Silver, or Gold community programs. The high-performing programs(s) of each MS4 Phase and category will be selected as a winner. Additionally, the Phase I and Phase II programs with the highest score will be honored as the winners of the 2023 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards. Each category's Phase I and Phase II winners (i.e. program management, innovation, and overall winner) will be recognized at the MS4 Awards Ceremony at the 2023 Water Environment Federation Technical Conference (WEFTEC 2023).
Applications for the 2023 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Award are NOW OPEN. To be considered, please have your application completed by June 5, 2023.
